"He's done it again, David Ortiz..."

So said Joe C. on EEI...and I missed it again. I just listened to the highlight of the radio call (which is always better than the tv call) on sox.com. And the thing that struck me? Joe C. sounds almost matter of fact about it. Excited, but like it was expected. Which it was. We ALWAYS expect him to deliver. Are we a bunch of spoiled brats or what? Also, apparently, and this is simply a rumor I'm trying to start, John Henry has asked ole Buddy S. if the Sox can move to the NL Least. You know, because he used to own the Expos and the Marlins. And cause they can't beat us. No word yet on what ole Buddy thinks of that idea.

ESPNews replayed the WEEI call, and I believe it was actually Trup who called it. But your right, it was almost so "matter-of-fact." But with Papi, it's getting to be almost routine...

A beautiful thing. Today's game...iffy at best. Live radar loop link at my blog. Copy and paste once, and then go back to it whenever you want, up until gametime. Or bookmark for future use. The rain shield is moving east AND north. Iffy stuff, the Fenway weather at 2. But yesterday? PRICELESS.

Upon a 2nd listen, it was Trup, apparently channeling Joe C's high pitched whine...I mean the Joe C that used to hang with Kid Rock. That high-pitched whine. Anyhoo, anyway ya call it is fine with me...

It was Trup's Call, as it was heard on WFAN-NY:

It's apparent that MVP isn't about a real MVP, but about a commercial spokesman;

Either way, whether on the field or on TV, A-Rod BLOWS!

Okay, everyone beat me to it. It was Trup, as he starts the 10th inning when games go extras. And I did notice, and was dissapointed by, his call, which we heard in the car on replay leaving the game. Me and Pat ha d been coming up with our predictions of what the call would be like before that:

"Are you shitting me? Papi's done it again!"

Stuff like that. So, Trup's nonchalant and non-obsenity filled call really fell short of our expectations.

In regards to that rumor:

John W. Henry was owner of the Marlins;

He was a LTD Partner in the NY Yankees;

Jeffrey Loria was owner of both the Marlins &, prior, The Montreal Expos.
